NYMPH HIGHLIGHTS

Restoration

Over the course of her restoration, all of Nymph’s original hardware was carefully removed, scrupulously restored, and reinstalled. Her etched glass doors, Tiffany and Co. light fixtures, Herreshoff deck hardware, Perko search light, original cabinetry hardware, and Beaver Iron cook stove are just a few of her timeless treasures to be preserved.

HULL

Nymph’s wooden planked hull was completely rebuilt in composite materials adding strength, longevity, and providing years of trouble free ownership for her next heritor. Able to be hauled with a modern travel lift, this ensures all maintenance can be easily performed without the necessity of a railway or dry dock. Her FRP sheathing offers all of the benefits of modern construction methods while her wooden substrate preserves the seakeeping qualities of a traditionally planked hull.

EXTERIOR SPACES

When stepping aboard the main deck of Nymph, one is transported back in time. Her period correct hardware, vintage lighting overhead, hi-gloss deck underfoot, and acres of mahogany offer a feel that can only be understood once experienced. Stand at her helm and advance the telegraph style throttle and you will be transported to a bygone era. Her fantail is opened and spacious with the best seats in the house.

INTERIOR SPACES

Upon venturing below deck, you are greeted with a warmth and coziness not found aboard modern day vessels. Tufted leather settee’s, rich mahogany, and lush carpet are a feast for the senses. The sensations experienced by her guests are that of another period in time. Her staterooms are cozy yet comfortable, offering more accomodation than one would imagine. Her clawfoot tub and ornate ceramic sinks are indicitive of the fact that she is truly something special.

GALLEY

Nymph’s Galley, though 110 years old, is as functional as it is beautiful. Boasting etched glass cabinet doors, checkered tile flooring, ample storage, an iron Beaver cook stove, and period correct ice box with modern refrigeration, cooking aboard is a true pleasure. Her galley flows seamlessly into the main salon where guests can take meals in exquisite comfort.

ENGINE ROOM

Descending into Nymph’s engine room, you are greeted with a feeling of a venerable space and a plethora of modern conveniences. Her centrally located main engine offers unprecedented access, while electrical service is upgraded and thoughtfully laid out with modern systems throughout. A Seakeeper 5 ensures a comfortable ride while underway. This open space offers outstanding ventilation and ample working space for the engineer. Not only is Nymph’s engine room grand, it is superior to any modern yacht you will find plying the waters today.
