Advanced Sailing and Comfort

The Elan design team continues to evolve in concert with its customers’ desires. Modern deck and cabin designs create stunning spaces in the Impression 40.1 that work exceptionally well for two, with plenty of room to sleep six in separate cabins.

Detailed To Perfection

Twin wheels, a luxury on a 40-footer make common sense by providing easy access for and aft, a helm station that allows the driver to focus with better vision forward for sails and surroundings from both the windward and leeward sides.

The L-shaped keel keeps ballast as low as possible for better performance on all fronts. The Impression 40.1’s keel fin merges with the keel bulb at its forward end making for more stability and exceptional upwind ability.

Normally found on semi-custom builds recessed deck hatches make for easier movement around the deck. The optional recessed windlass is certainly simplicity itself.

Choices abound, from one of four interior layouts to multiple additional options to make within each layout. The Impression 40.1 provides for the flexibility owners crave.

The new deck of the Impression 40.1 advances the cockpit concept for a 40-footer. Her vertical drop-down transom provides an oversized space for bathing and relaxing. The corner steering seats accomplish their goal with great success, and when converted to their optional grill/cooking design, their standard use turns masterful. Twin wheels and a folding cockpit table move you forward with ease while standard teak soles and seats provide sure-footing and long-lasting great looks.

Large cabin windows and hull ports allow the deck saloon design to shine from the inside out. Those lounging in exceptional comfort down below are able to see what’s around them, maintaining connection with what’s happening outside. Those same windows and ports light up the interior spaces with the natural glow of sunshine absorbed into the deep color of iroko wood furniture. Great flexibility is afforded to owners in designing the interior spaces, including the number and style of cabins.

With four layouts to choose from, the Impression 40.1 provides the flexibility necessary to make the boat your own. The two cabin, one head option provides for the most storage with a massive quarter cabin for your stuff, like bicycles, inflatable dinghy, fenders, extra line, and more.
