Elan GT5
Elements Of Style

When raw performance becomes the goal, race boat designers know that putting as much ballast as low as possible is answer. The inverted T-shaped keel does just that with the keel fin attached to the middle of a large ballast bulb for maximum strength, stability and performance.

Having the galley forward, just aft of the main bulkhead opens up the rest of the main cabin interior and puts the weight of the food, counters, and appliances exactly where it should be, over the keel near the mast, for best sailing performance.

The Elan design team took exterior design to a new level with the GT5. Bold shapes, huge access to light for the interior, built-in bulwarks for safety.

ELAN GT5
Exterior

From bowsprit to chined quarters, the hull shape of the GT5 is not only sleek but fast. The nearly plumb bow to vertical transom gives the GT5 the longest possible waterline and the quarter-chines provide increased width to add stability while giving the hiking crew a wide deck for maximum righting moment. However, the GT5 is not just speed. With cockpit options that turn the working place into a play space, the GT5 exterior design is a marvel.

ELAN GT5
Interior

The Elan GT5 interior is a space made for owners and guests to relax, stretch out, and enjoy all the light coming through the deck hatches, cabin windows, and hull ports. The light is met with iroko wood that simply glows. There’s plenty of seating created by the galley moved forward and that seating can add to the six-person sleeping capacity of the three-cabin, two-head version of the design. Comfort, excellent storage, and superior galley location work together for your enjoyment.
