Fishing Capabilities
The fishing capabilities on the Outrage series is like no other. Boston Whaler really put in a great deal of effort to make these boats a dream to fish on. Their large beam and spacious cockpit make It very easy to accommodate a large group of fishermen who are eager to get some meat on the deck. On every Outrage regardless of size there is a live well, two insulated and macerated fish boxes, and several rod holders in the gunnels and on the t-top. You can easily troll five to six lines off the back of the boat at once in a neatly staggered order with help from the outriggers. It is extremely easy to deep drop with big electric reels on the Outrage because it has plenty of outlets and a dive door making it real easy to bring in your big catch.
Seating
The amount of seating on a Boston Whaler Outrage all depends on the size of the vessel: the bigger the boat the more seating options available. Regardless of the size, each Outrage has about 90% of the same seating arrangements. On every Outrage there is always bow seating, a bow lounge, helm seating, and an aft pull down bench. When you get up to the 420 Outrage you will then receive two rows of helm seating and one to three pull down single seats that are located on either the port or starboard gunnel. Nonetheless, whatever you are using the boat for that day or how many people are on board, there will always be plenty of comfortable plush seating options.
Mercury Outboard Engines
From the factory, Boston Whaler only hangs Mercury outboards on their vessels regardless of the model. The size of the boat does dictate what size engine or engines get put on for optimal performance. For instance, a 250 Outrage will most likely get a single 300 horsepower Mercury engine hung on it as to where a 420 Outrage will get quad 400 horsepower Mercury outboards. Every boat out of the Boston Whaler factory is graded for a specific size engine, they acquire that information by seeing how heavy the vessel is and how much torque it needs to be able to get itself on plane.
Electronics Options
Depending on the size of the Outrage and how much money you're willing to spend will really determine the amount of high end electronics and equipment that can be put on your vessel. Some of the more expensive but highly sought after options onboard a Boston Whaler include a Seakeeper Gyro-Stabilizer, a Flir thermal and night vision camera, Radar, and the Joystick Piloting feature.
A Sea Keeper Gyro-Stabilizer is hands down the most sought after item for boaters when choosing the right vessel. It allows even those who are most susceptible to motion sickness a chance to get on the water and enjoy the many beautiful and wonderful adventures to be had on a boat.
The Joystick Piloting feature is another expensive but extremely useful tool for new boaters to use. It allows even the most inexperienced captains a chance to dock their boats in some of the more tighter slips, all by a push of the joystick.
There are quite a few other options that are not as expensive but still useful, such as an LED Searchlights, trim tabs, Mercury active trim, and more.
Cabin Differences
Regardless of the size, all of the Boston Whaler Outrage models have an entrance into the center console on the starboard side and each one is equipped with a head and storage space.
The 250 and 280 are the only two with just a head and a handheld shower head.
The 330 has a head, handheld shower head, sink, and storage compartments. While the 350 is equipped with a head, a handheld shower, a sink, a storage closet, and A/C.
Once you get bigger into the 380 and 420 Outrage models, you get an actual cabin with a single or double berth, salon table, TV, A/C, sink, refrigerator, and a stand up head with a full shower and sink.
